Chapter 8
I was reading my Transfiguration book for my research project when I felt like I was being watched. I turned to see Draco peering at me through the bookshelves. “Stalker much?” I joked. He sat next to me. “I just wanted to talk to you-“
“About why you’re being so nice to me?” I asked. “Yes. I know that feeling. Being scared of the one person that should care about you the most. My father, he’s a terrible person.”
“Gee, I didn’t notice,” I commented, pretending to hit Draco with a walking stick. He choked a laugh. “You know, we aren’t that different.” He smiled.
I stared at him for a minute. “What?” He demanded. “Nothing, it’s just your smile is so different, and genuine. I like it.”
I gave him a warm smile as well.
