“Now, can anyone tell me what these potions are?” Slughorn pointed at three potions. Hermione and I raised our hands. “Yes, Miss...”
“Snape, sir.” I stepped up. “Ah, a Snape. Your father was quite the master in Potions.” He said.
I smiled before saying, “This first one is Polyjuice Potion, which allows you to take form of anyone you’d like. However, you would need to place a strand of their hair into the potion to take their form. This next one is Amortentia. It’s a love potion. It doesn’t create love, but it creates an obsession. You smell whatever attracts you. For example, I smell...green apples...cologne....and new parchment.” I stepped back, a bit woozy from the potion. “It’s probably the most dangerous potion in this room. This last one is Felix Felicis, or Liquid Luck, as it’s more commonly known. If you drink just a tiny vial, all your endeavors... succeed.” I looked at Draco. “At least, until the effects wear off.”
“Yes, great job, Miss Snape. A perfect explanation. Twenty points to Slytherin.” Slughorn smiled. I glared at Harry before stepping back to my spot next to Hermione.
“Alright, here is what I offer. Whoever student completes an exceptional Draught of Living Death will receive one vial of Liquid Luck.” Slughorn said. “Now begin!”
