Chapter 21
I lay down, my head in Draco’s lap, him stroking my hair. We were on the Hogwarts train. “You know, Draco, despite these recent events, I would really love to see a smile on your face.” I looked at him. “It’s really hard to smile right now, Sara, since you might die.” He snarled. He looked at me with a wistful expression and said softly,
“You’re all I have left.”
He’s so cute sometimes.
“I love you, Draco.” I grinned. “Maybe this will lighten the mood.” I pulled his head down so I could kiss him. When he pulled away, of course he was smiling. “Told ya.” I said. Then, Goyle’s bag seemed to had hit something. “Did you-“ Draco began.
“Yeah, I saw it.” I answered.
When the train stopped, I got up and was about to leave, when I remembered Draco. “Draco, are you coming?” I questioned.
“Just go ahead. I want to check something.” He responded. “Alright.” I kissed him on the cheek before leaving the compartment.
Soon, Draco met me at the Great Hall. “What happened?” I asked. “Potter was eavesdropping.” He said.
“So now he’s onto you.” I said. “Be careful, Draco.”
“I am being careful, all right? But your not! You’re probably going to die, and you’re just waltzing around like it’s no big deal!” He roared.
“Draco, I am not going to die, okay? I’m going to die in my sleep when I’m grey and old, and I’m going to die knowing that I had an amazing man in my life.” I said.
“That sounds nice.” He muttered.
“Yes, it does, doesn’t it?” I giggled. “By the way, I got you something.” He pulled out a ring from his pocket. “It’s a promise ring.”
“Oh? And what’s the promise I have to keep?” I smirked.
“You have to promise that one day, the next time I give you a ring, it’s when we’re going to get married.” He said seriously. “It’s stupid, I know-“
“I promise.” I said softly. “I will never break this promise. Because I love you.” He slid the ring onto my finger, laughing happily.
