If their home tree gets tree fungus, they will flee to a new tree. In under forty-eight hours, a bowtruckle can die from from a fungal disease. When a bowtruckle has the fungus, their fingers go purple, then body, & then their head. The Whomping Willow does not have bowtruckles.
