It makes no difference who or what you are. Being or Beast, Muggle or Magical, Blood runs through the veins of everyone and everything in this world. It is what keeps us alive, it is what takes life from us. And it has its many uses and properties.

Many do not like the idea of consuming blood and see it to be an unpleasant idea as they believe that it is closely linked with Dark Magic and Vampires. Having close links with dark magic I myself do not consider these beliefs to be true.

There is however a link between blood and magic. Whether you believe it to be dark is personal taste. What is undeniable is its power. If you can show me a dragon whose blood is not powerful be my guest. If you can show me an Elf whose blood is not strong lead the way. We have power in our veins and those willing to use blood in potions have a brave heart let me assure you of that.

Let me give you an example. The blood of a unicorn is so precious and pure that by drinking it, it could bring a person back to life even when they are moments from death. Of course by doing so the person risks something more terrible and more terrifying, but that is a story for another day.
