You have to face it. Hagrid was not a good Care of Magical Creatures teacher.

I love Hagrid, but I 100% would not want to be in his classes. I would really look forward to COMC, but the way he teaches it...


In Harry's 3rd year, you start the year off with some dangerous Hippogriffs. Then, it's flobberworms for the ENTIRE REST OF THE YEAR.

In Harry's 4th year, it's only Blast-Ended Skrewts, with a little bit of unicorns at the end. Blast-Ended Skrewts aren't even legal, as it's illegal to breed new magical creatures.

In Harry's 5th year, Hagrid teaches them about Thestrals and Nifflers, and a couple other creatures as well.


I would be super dissapointed after taking his COMC classes.

Professor Grubbly-Plank was a way better COMC Professor.
