The Chapter About Newt Scamander

Chapter 1
Newton Scamander, my great grandfather (I think?) an English Wizard, famed Magizoologist and author of Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, developed a great interest and care for magical creatures. He had one brother, called Theseus Scamander. When Newt arrived at Hogwarts at the age of 11, he was sorted into Hufflepuff, the kind, caring, loyal house. He made friends with Leta Lestrange, who shared his interests in animals and out-door experiments.

Newt once told a Hogwarts employee that 'There are no strange creatures, only blinkered people.' This put him into detention for a month.

Ministry Emplyee
During the First World War Scamander served on the Eastern Front in a Ministry of Magic programme to wrangle up Ukrainian Ironbellys. This programme was dismissed as Scamander was the only one who responded to Newt, and tried to kill and eat everyone else.

Newt joined the Ministry of Magic's Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.

Visit To New York
Scamander went to New York to 'buy a gift.' While he was there, he ended up meeting Jacob Kowalski, a polish american No-Maj. This No-Maj realized that Scamander had left a Ocamy Egg, and tried to catch up to him, (for Newt had gone to get his Niffler, for he had seen it robbing people's money). Soon Jacob managed to give back Newt the cracking Ocamy egg.

This is how Newt and Jacob got to know each other. Here is a little more information about Newt's looks, when he was born etc. etc.
