Chapter 9
Save yourself from the 'uncommon' poison
Hello everyone, do you remember the last issue of Weekly Magic, when we got to know how to save ourselves and others from 'common' poisons? I also said that there are some uncommon poisons and that I’m going to tell you all how to brew the antidote to uncommon poison. I told you that the last time, so remembering my duties and promise, I have brought you the recipe of 'Antidote to uncommon poison’. So now let me give you the recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
-Fire Seeds
-Powdered graphorn horn
-Billywig stings
-Chizpurfle carapaces
(Note: This potion cures the effects of minor magical or uncommon poisons, such as Doxy bites)
• Bring Water to boil.
• While waiting for water to boil, grind Graphorn Horn with mortar and pestle into a fine powder.
• Add horn powder to cauldron and leave to boil for 10 minutes.
• Grind Billywig Stings and Chizpurfle Carapaces together in mortar and pestle into a coarse powder before adding to cauldron.
• Drop Fire Seeds into cauldron and remove from heat.
• Stir periodically whilst mixture is cooling to room temperature.
• When cooled, strain liquid into a phial to complete.
Skill/Roll: +roll Potions Brewing. Time: 2 Hours
Training: 3rd Year Potions Class
Duration/Shelf Life: Dependent on Success / 1 Month
