Dr. Azazel
Chapter 8
Excuse me? I am not an experiment. My earlier thoughts of Luke vanished. I flew to him and stung his hand.
“It’s a joke! Sheesh,” Luke rubbed his hand. “I can’t even see you but you sting like crazy.”
I like to amuse myself.
“That is not amusing. I actually wanted to ask you a few things, Specs.”
What exactly would the boy with Spec-o-phobia want to ask me?
Crystal snickered. “Spec-o-phobia. Genius.”
It’s actually real. You’ll be surprised how many people are afraid of this tiny old bug.
“Old?” Luke squinted at me.
“He’s seventy six.” Crystal was clearly trying not to laugh.
Luke’s eyes widened. “If Specs is seventy six, then how come no one has been able to understand him before?”
That is a good question. That is a very, very good question.

“Maybe we should take Specs to Dr. Azazel,” Crystal said thoughtfully.
Luke stared at her. “Doctor Azazel? Doctor Samael Azazel? Are you crazy?! He’s a madman! Last time I saw him he was ordering me to shave my head, remember?”
Wait. Back up. He wanted to do WHAT?
“Yeah! At the end he came after me with a pair of hedge clippers. Luckily I got out in time.” He gave Crystal a playful scowl. “Best idea Crystal ever had, taking me to that doctor.”
Crystal laughed. “I think he wanted to do brain surgery, not clip your hair.”
Wait, WHAT? This Dr. Azazel man wanted to do brain surgery on Luke with a pair of hedge clippers!? I shouted at them from my mind.
“It’s not funny!” But even Luke was struggling to keep a straight face.
“I’m serious,” Crystal said when she finished laughing.
Luke frowned at her. “Are you out of your mind?! That guy will hurt Specs!”
“I used to think that too…until now.”
