Beautification
Chapter 1
Beauty is forever changing; what we think of it the standards we subject it to and the way in which it is perceived. Are we beautiful because we are thin? Because we are muscular? because we are? Is beauty in the eye of the beholder?
Could it be that beauty has nothing to do with the way that someone looks? But instead, the way they act? And to many their perception of intelligence may be very different yet again. Some people are book smart. Able to hold incredible amounts of detailed information some are smart on the account of brilliance and some are logical smart.
In our modern 2021 society slim people with strong features and even muscular bodies are very much a reoccurrence in day-to-day muggle and magical lives. This however has not always been the case. In the 1950s woman had incredibly curvatious bodies that caused them to a figure of eight body, this meant a larger chest and hips and a very small waist, even wearing various corsets to make them have the right size.
However, the beauty that I would like to focus on is the 1920s. During this time women were considered to be "beautiful" if they had a very straight frame, short wavy hair and their dresses and lots of embellishments on them. They had fresh faces, and detailed lips which stood out. Where I come from the greatest thing people wore was a suit and a cap. And only on the very best days.
This would have been because people had just finished in the first world war. People wanted to look their best no matter what the price. Greta Garbo, Coco Chanel, Marlene Dietrich and of course many others all exemplified this standard. To maintain the standard the people wanted to achieve a style of beauty that was easily obtainable to them. People most likely wanted to obtain a boyish figure and to the potion to do that would be the beautification potion. Any potion containing fairy wings may also work although I personally don't recommend it.
Whichever category you fall into know that you are B-E-A-U-TIFUL and someday a person will find you special no matter what.
