"Evelyn! Sirius! No!"
"You-" Their mother ducked. "Can not-" Duck. "Throw-" Duck. "The-" Duck. "Food-" Duck. "All over the house!" She said, trying to stop all the levitating food that would throw itself at people. The twins had snapped her wand the minute she brought it out.
A man walked through the threshold only to have cream pie thrown into his face, he quickly stopped it with a slight flick of his wrist, before even a drop could fall on him, or his clothes in the slightest.
"What is the meaning of this?" The brisk man asked, roughly.
"Orion! These little troublemakers have caused this wreck!"
*2 Years Old*
"Mummy! Wexy is scary! Wexy isn't wooking wike Wexy wooks!" A one-year-old Regulus screamed to Walburga Black. Regulus had been brought down to her by one of the house elves that saw him sobbing, and took pity on the poor child.
Clutching her second son in anxious worry, Walburga ran towards her toddler twins' room.
Reaching their room, she calmed her breathing, and very slowly peered into the room.
Inside the twins' room, lay a two-year-old Sirius, giggling at his younger sister. Walburga sighed with relief, her first child was all right, not harmed at all.
Walburga's stomach clenched in anxiety.
Daring her eyes to glance at her second child, two-year-old Evelyn, Walburga had always preferred to call her Evelyn, but the rest of the family had taken upon themselves to give her little girl various names. Walburga almost screamed with joy when she saw that little Evelyn had a duck nose, and continuously changing hair.
At that moment, Walburga was extremely proud to be Evelyn's mother. Little did she know that would be one of the last times she was ever proud to be Evelyn's mother.
*3 Years Old*
"Sirius, Evelyn, Regulus come meet your new little sisters. They are sleeping right now, so be quiet, " Walburga told the siblings in a soft voice.
She was holding a little bundle with two babies inside.
"What are those things' names, Mummy?" Little three-year-old Evelyn asked.
"They are not things, Evelyn! They are babies, and their names are Celeste Anastasia Bethany Black and Pandora Audrey Cassiopeia Black."
"I don't like her," Regulus frowned, pointing at one of the babies.
"You've only just met both of them. Why don't you like her?" His mother asked him kindly.
"Because she is going to replace me." Regulus replied frowning at the thought of not having his mother's affection.
"That's what Evelyn and Sirius thought when you were born. Now, enough of this nonsense! Go back to your rooms immediately before you wake them!"
*5 Years Old*
"Woah! This is brilliant!" Sirius yelled, riding his broomstick that his Father got for him.
"Your turn, Lex," Her Father stated, proudly.
*11th Birthday*
"Mum! Father! Reg! Ana! Cassie! Get up! Our letters have arrived!" Sirius and I screamed up the long staircase, hanging onto the thin banister as if our very lives depended on it. We had waken up extra early just so we could get to our letters before anyone else. If Kreacher had gotten his grubby hands on it, we would have been announced squibs!
Clanking footsteps bounded down the stairs eager to see the letter that pronounced us family.
"Mu-"
"If you scream again, you won't be allowed to go to Hogwarts," Our "Mother" spoke threateningly, interrupting us. Personally, I think she should be called the Destroyer, or the Doom Bringer. Any of those names would fit.
"It turns out the two of you actually aren't squibs," Regulus said, snidely.
"You are just jealous that we get to leave to Hogwarts, while you have to stay home with Mum and Dad," Sirius replied, not at all crestfallen. Regulus turned a deep shade of scarlet, and briskly walked into the kitchen.
We raced to the kitchen, hoping that if we ate swiftly, we might be able to go to Diagon Alley.
"Mum, can we go to Diagon Alley today?" I asked, trying to seem polite, hoping she would agree.
"No," She swiftly replied, not even looking up from her letter.
"Why not?" Sirius began, "Just because you want to stick around here all day, like a lazy-"
"We are going to Narcissa's party today. You will be polite, and well mannered unlike your normal, rowdy selves. Go to your room until we leave."
Sirius marched up the stairs, but not before pettily sticking his tongue out at Mother.
"Sirius Orion Black the Third! Get your scrawny little arse upstairs before I put it up there for you! Don't ever disrespect your mother like that again!" Our father screeched. As soon as I made sure that Mother and Father had their backs to me but Sirius could still see me, I began my performance. In other words, mocking my parents as they lectured Sirius.
Reg, Ana, and Audrey, as we now call them to annoy Mum, both snuck behind Sirius to see what all the commotion was. They seemed to have giggled a little bit too loudly, as Mother and Father turned around to look at me. I gave them the sweetest smile I could ever offer to their hateful faces before running off into my room, and rapidly locking the door so I could not get punished as per usual.
When I was younger, I had the house elves, whom absolutely adore me, cast a spell on my room. The spell does not allow my parents or anyone I do not want in here if I lock my door, their magic only rebounds from my walls. It is my only way of protecting myself nowadays.
A knock at the door brings me out of my thoughts, "Who is it?" I replied, trying to make sure it was not mother or father as they have tricked me before.
"Sirius."
"What is the first word I ever said?" I asked with my hand on the lock.
"Bloody Hell, Mummy," he replied, notifying me that it actually was Sirius and not another one of mother and father's devious tricks. They never cared enough to acknowledge half of the things I did, so they would not know my first word which so happens to be a swear, bloody.
I opened the door quickly, slamming it shut as soon as Sirius's feet were in the room.
"What happened? Are you alri-Oh! Hold on a second!" I ran to my left wall, which had a portrait of a famous quidditch player from our family on it.
"Kantec, would you mind?" I asked him politely.
"Of course, but since it's you, I do not...this time." He replied arrogantly before the portrait swung open to reveal Sirius's present wrapped in the only type of parcel I had managed to find in the entire house, Slytherin green parcel engraved with the Black Family coat of arms.
"Happy birthday, Siri!" I shout, overjoyed. I throw his present in his hands, only to discover a mass of black coming straight for my face.
"Ahhhh! Bloody hell Sirius!" I screamed as the black cat landed on my face.
"Look how adorable he is," I cried, warming up to the small ball of cuteness in a span of seconds.
"Oh, sis...how-I-you... I love you!" Sirius gasped in shock, I had gotten him the latest broom-the new Fire-Blaster 2100.
He ran towards me, and squeezed the life out of me in warm gratitude.
Ana, Audrey, and Reg crawled through the small passage way that connects their rooms to my own, another thing my parents are completely unaware of. Over the years, we had all took part in painting different parts of the passage. The passage bloomed from a dark, cold passage to a beautiful, colorful passage.
Pausing at the doorway, they watched with giddy excitement.
"Sirius?" Reg asked, he wanted to give Sirius his present quickly because Mother and Father have been shouting for his presence in the kitchen for the past few minutes.
"Yes, Reg?" Sirius replied, finally releasing me.
We turned to greet them, but before we had fully turned around, we saw a flash of naturally bleach blonde hair run past us towards something behind us.
In shock, my hair changed from the brown curls my parents made me keep on a regular day basis to spiked blue hair.
Audrey was cuddling up to the black kitten Sirius had given me.
"How could you not tell me you had a kitten all this time?! Even after I told you how much I love cats!" Audrey shouted, glaring at me.
"Audrey, you are making a fool out of yourself, I just got the cat today. Now, step away from my kitten." I calmly stated.
"Why should I?" She questioned, slightly embarrassed with her previous assumptions.
"It is my cat in my room on my birthday, and you are allergic." I told her as she sneezed.
She stepped away from the frightened kitten, and gave Sirius and I a small present each while muttering, "Happy Birthday," before walking out of my room, to go to Mother.
Ana and Reg quickly followed her example.
When all three had left the room, I grinned at Sirius only to see a matching grin on his face.
We tore the wrapping paper away from the presents, receiving a large amount of exhilaration at what the wrapping paper could be holding within its grasp.
From Audrey, I received a large collection of candy, and a rainbow llamacorn stuffed animal. From Ana, I received a dragon stuffed animal with a multitude of dung bombs. Finally, I opened Reg's present to find a silver locket ensnared with a ring.
The silver locket contained a picture of the entire family, and on the other side, there was three small words engraved. Those few words read Ego semper tecum.
Ever since I turned four years old, I have taken Latin to appease Mother and Father, and also so I can get away with almost everything.
Ego semper tecum means I am always with you.
Smiling, I put on the locket, and turned to ask Sirius what he got from our siblings.
"What did they-" Spontaneously, we both spoke at the same exact time.
Sirius and I stopped, and just handed each other our presents.
"Reg got me a locket and a ring. Ana gave me dung bombs, and a dragon stuffed animal. Audrey gave me candy, and a llamacorn stuffed animal," I told Sirius showing him each in turn.
"Nice, Reg gave me a delicate comb with hair ties, he probably thought it was funn-"
I cut him off with boisterously laughter that I could not hold in any longer.
Jokingly, he glared at me before he continuing his comical speech, "Anyways, Ana gave me dung bombs, and a unicorn stuffed animal...She must have made a rather large mistake when she handed these to us."
I continued laughing, while Sirius tried to talk over my loud laughter, "Audrey gave me candy, and what appears to be a mix between a llama and a Pegasus."
