Prologue

For all my loved ones, 

I know this may be hard to accept, but I have left you. I do this out of love, not betrayal.

I hope you  can forgive me in the future, just know that I love each and every one of you. 

When the time is right, you will understand why I have done what I have done.

None of you did anything to cause this. It is my own doing. Please accept that.

My children will be looked down upon for my sins, but I just want them to know that I was not a bad person, I love them so much, and I hope they can forgive me as well. Tell them our great Marauder tales, Moony. You always were the best storyteller. Don't let the lies of society float through their brains.

Padfoot, he-who-must-not-be-named is coming. Hide them, hide them well. Only when he is gone will they be safe. He will target each and every one of you to get to me. Hide. Run. I don't care, do not let yourselves fall anywhere near his grasp.

I need something to be done from each of you, if you ever hope to see me again. These tasks need to be done by the time Harry goes to Hogwarts. If not, I'm afraid you know what happens. A letter will arrive tomorrow at noon at the doorstep of our spot during Moony's weakest times, it will not open until all of you are present.
