Chapter 15
Sybill Trelawney’s Birthday
Professor Sybill Patricia Trelawney was born March 9, before 1963. She was the daughter of a wizard father and a muggle mother. She is the great-great-granddaughter of Cassandra Trelawney, who was also a Seer.
Professor Trelawney kept predicting her student's deaths. Every year, she predicted a different one. Unlike many other wizards and witches: we know about Sybill’s wand, patronus and boggart. Her boggart, like many other teachers, is Lord Voldemort, and her patronus is surprisingly non-corporeal, which is very uncommon in a supposedly well-known Seer and Professor. Her wand is made of hazel wood, is 9,5 inches long, has a unicorn hair core and is very flexible.
Professor Trelawney continued to teach well into the 2010s. It is known that at the beginning of the 21st century he married a man called Mr. Higglesworth, but divorced him instantly because he wanted to force her to take his last name. She is probably the most unqualified professor there has been in Hogwarts history, together with Gilderoy Lockhart. Still, she deserves having a biography of her own on her birthday week. Happy birthday, Sybill!
