Ron Weasley’s Birthday
Ronald Bilius “Ron” Granger-Weasley, né Weasley, was born on March 1st, 1980 in Ottery St. Catchpole, Devon, England, as the sixth of the seven Weasley siblings and the last son of Molly and Arthur Weasley.
Like all his siblings, he was home educated in reading, writing and simple mathematics by his mother. The Weasley family was not wealthy at all, compared to other wizarding families. Many other pure-blood families, particularly the Malfoys, disdained them for their blood traitor beliefs and lack of wealth. They tried their best to make up for this with their love.
When Ron was younger, he had a pet rat named Scabbers, whom he had inherited from Percy. This rat was actually Peter Pettigrew, a traitor to all wizardkind. To compensate for their impoverishment, Ron's mother indulged him in three delicious meals daily. This became so habitual that missing a meal in later life would irritate Ron.
Ron’s life from his start at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is known by almost everyone: he got sorted into Gryffindor, just as all his family; he became friends with Harry and Hermione; got bullied by Draco Malfoy, but got pretty rich in his adulthood, not only because of his position as co-owner of Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes but also because his wife is the Ministress of Magic.
We know that he was and still is a kind, loyal and brave boy and, though always eclipsed by his best friend and wife, was actually pretty smart. He was a very good player of Wizards’ Chess, as demonstrated at the very beginning of the series, and was able to cast a patronus. He had skill in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Duelling, Charms, Potions, Transfigurations, Care of Magical Creatures, Flying, Divination (he seems to have talent for that), Astronomy, Herbology and could even aparate. He was also pretty good at Dark Magic, although he only used it for good, and was capable to use non-verbal magic. ron was also great at impersonating, was a good leader and had a lot of tactical thinking (though this wasn’t shown until later in 1996). And he’s a good money-spinner! He even has a muggle driving license (though he confounded the examiner) and managed to have three wands, somehow!
