Chapter 10
Giants

A giant is human-like but can grow up to 25 feet tall and is a magical being. Some of them look big and hairy, not very human-like, but some are like grown-up people. Although the height of the giants varies between 20-25 feet as I said before, there may be some exceptions (For example Grawp).

Giants generally live in tribes. They are led by a giant they call Gurg. Gurg is always the strongest in the tribe. Although he is powerful, he is known as the laziest giant of the tribe, and other giants serve him. They usually live at the bottom of the mountain. If you don't want to be attacked by any giant, you have to give their Gurg a gift.

Giants are no smarter than witches or wizards; more stupid(but still smarter than trolls). However, they know how to use magic and they are fond of using it. Although I describe them as "stupid," they have their language, culture, and social structures and are capable of learning English.

Unfortunately, most of the giants are cruel, that's in their nature. They do not have the patience to endure a long event, which their brain works differently than us when we say: "long". So it's an easy solution for them to simplify things and kill the victim right away. This "attack" instinct is valid not only for humans but even for their kind.

Giants are very powerful. It is a raw power that comes from them. They don't need magic to oppose someone because although it is possible to resist them, a spell cast by a wizard or witch has little or no effect on them. The enchantment of a witch or a wizard doesn't make much of an impact even on half-giants*.

*Half-giants: One of the parents of the semi-giants is one giant, not one; it's a bit like half-bloods. They are larger than a normal human and smaller than a giant. Although not as powerful as normal giants, they are very powerful. Unlike normal giants, they can be intelligent and magical enough to attend a wizarding school.
