~Dylan's pov~

I watch her board the plane as my hands shake more. I lean against the wall and smile weakly at her as the plane takes off. I go to the car where my parents wait. "How did it go?" Ma asks after a few minutes of driving in silence.

"We're together now but if it gets too hard we are going to end it," I say and start bouncing my leg. I miss her already. I start biting my finger to distract myself from my anxiety. The pain does nothing. 

"Dylan! Stop biting your finger!" Ma says and looks at me.

I stop but once she looks away I do it again. I bite harder, causing more pain, but it doesn't distract me from my thoughts. I bite down harder and taste something. A salty, metallic taste. I pull my finger away and see it bleeding.

"Sh*t..." I mutter and pull my sleeve over my hand, hiding the blood. Luckily it wasn't too deep. It should stop soon, I tell myself.

Pa looks at me through the rearview mirror. "Did it again?" He asks.

I nod slowly. "Yeah...I'm sorry..."

Ma sighs. "You're going back to your therapist."

"Ma-" I start but she cuts me off.

"No Dylan, you are. End of discussion." Ma turns to look ahead and I slunk in the bad.
