All About Fleur Delacour (Biography)

Chapter 9
Fleur Isabelle Delacour was a part-veela French witch, the eldest daughter of Monsieur and Apolline Delacour. She attended Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, and when she turned eleven years old, her grandmother - who was a veela - lent her a hair, for the core of her wand. Her wand was 9 ½ inches, made of rosewood, with a veela hair core. During the Triwizard Tournament of three schools (Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons), Fleur was her school’s chosen champion, and she competed against Viktor Krum, Cedric Diggory, and Harry Potter. The summer afterwards, Fleur took on a part-time job at Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Diagon Alley, and began dating Bill Weasley. They soon became engaged, and then married. Fleur agreed to have the wedding at The Burrow instead of France. Ginny Weasley strongly disliked her, and called her “Phlegm.” She and Bill had three children: Victoire, Dominique, and Louis Weasley. She was awarded medals of bravery by both the French and British Ministries of Magic for her participation in the Battle of Hogwarts.
