August Rubedo was born in London, England in the year of 1981. He is a direct descendent to François Armand, a notable wizard who was a powerful Alchemist. August Rubedo graduated Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the year of 1999. He was accepted into the Ministry of Magic as an auror right out of graduating Hogwarts. In the year of 2002, Professor August Rubedo was given the chance to work under the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. In the year of 2003, the Head resigned from her position. The Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt promoted August Rubedo to the high position of Head of Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He headed some great captures of dark wizards. Some being, Igneius Girdle, Patricia Nevom, and much more.

In the year of 2008, five years after getting promoted, August set out for Egypt. There he found himself at the Centre for Alchemical Studies. He studied to be a grand-Alchemist; there he got his degree in Alchemy. After his time there, he was given the position at Hogwarts to be the Alchemy Professor. There he remains as the current Alchemy Professor, Gryffindor Head of House, and Deputy Headmaster.
