If you're a Gryffindor, you've most likely had at least one experience when you've said you're a Gryffindor and someone has groaned. Here's a few reasons why:
1. They might think you're only a Gryffindor because Harry, Ron, and Hermione were in Gryffindor.
2. They might think you're only a mediocre Harry Potter fan and is in Gryffindor because that's the main House in the series.
3. They might think you don't embody any of Gryffindor's traits and that you would belong in another House.
Now for some helpful advice:
1. Make sure to clarify that you're not in Gryffindor only because Harry, Ron, and Hermione were in Gryffindor.
2. Offer up proof, such as showing you got Gryffindor on the Pottermore House Quiz, or that you got Gryffindor on lots of other quizzes you took.
3. Point out your Gryffindor-y traits.
4. Get some Gryffindor merchandise to make it official.
5. Make sure they know that you're a die-hard Harry Potter fan and have read the series a million times.
I hope this was helpful to all those Gryffindors!
