HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW OUR WONDERFULLY CRAZY HISTORY OF MAGIC PROFESSOR?

Autumn Hazel Maddox, our History of Magic teacher, lives up to the name of the beloved Slytherins. Professor Autumn Maddox was born in Paris, France on the 21st of October. Professor Maddox comes from a Pureblood family. Her father works in the French Ministry of Magic as a Warlock, her mother is a librarian at the school of Beauxbaton, and Professor Maddox has a younger brother named; Nikolai Ezra Maddox. Professor Maddox's family is just an 'average family', as she says, and not very known. As a child, Professor Maddox enjoyed dancing and claims to not be very good at it. Professor Maddox's secret hiding spot was the secret room behind her bedroom door that her father built for her. 

Professor Maddox spent her first year at Beauxbaton learning about magic. She later transferred (as a second year) to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. Her favorite subjects were Charms and History of Magic (still her favorite class today). She was not so hot in Transfiguration! Professor Maddox was not at all surprised she was a witch, as I said before, because she was from a Pureblood family. Professor Maddox has very few nicknames, one is Maddy. Often people refer to her as Autumn or Professor Maddox. 

Her favorite childhood memory was when her family gathered around the fireplace trying all the Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans (They did not eat very many beans that night!). The next day they all had stomach-aches! 

Professor Maddox's first date was when she was a 5th year at Hogwarts. Although, her first kiss was in her mid-twenties. 

People thought that she played pranks because she was one of the class clowns. No one believed that she was very good at school because it looked as she always played pranks. She proved them all wrong; she excelled at school. 

Professor Maddox has never owned a pet in her lifetime. Professor Maddox wanted to be a healer, but she fainted at the sight of blood (I guess that occupation didn't work out for her!) She never expected herself to be a professor because she feels awkward in front of crowds. 

Professor Maddox now lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. 

She is now happily married to Professor Julius Dowler (the other HoM teacher). She met him working as an intern after her graduation from Hogwarts at the Ministry of Magic. They officially met during an office gathering meeting. For awhile, she treated him as a protective older brother. They were good friends for a long period of time. Their first date was on Valentine's Day; they didn't like the idea of of having dates so they hung out together as friends. He brought her red roses as a joke. They started dating shortly afterwards and they got married in 2014. They like to play pranks on each other! One time, Professor Maddox put toothpaste in his hands then woke him up so he would rub the toothpaste all over his face (hilarious)! They leave each other notes in the strangest places. Professor Maddox wants to work at HiH to let the students have the same experience she had. Her wand is made of Vine Wood, it's 10 inches long, and it has a Dragon Heartstring core.  

Professor Maddox is in Slytherin because she is fiercely ambitious and believes nothing is impossible to accomplish. 

She told me she thinks her best feature about herself that she listens to both sides of the story before making her judgement of siding (I agree). Her strengths are she doesn't give up without a fight and she always finishes what she starts. Her weakness is that she doesn't care about her health yet and hasn't done anything about it. 

In 10 years Professor Maddox hopes to be a mother of 2-3 children. 

HARRY POTTER TALK!

Professor Maddox and I had a riveting conversation about Harry Potter. I learned she didn't cry at all during the book or movie series. 

Her favorite book is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and her favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. 

Professor Maddox's favorite character is Luna Lovegood (maybe because she's crazy like you)! 

Professor Maddox started reading the series when everyone in her school started reading it. 

Although, she does want to be inside of the series. If she was in another house it would be Hufflepuff. 

Professor Maddox has a mature and chic look (such as a knee-length skirt and simple necklaces). 

Professor Maddox absolutely loves to bake. Her favorite things to bake are scones and macarons! 

She is quite the sweet-tooth! 

Her greatest fear is of heights, she has altophobia (I guess she won't be going on any roller-coasters soon).  

Professor Maddox told me that she wouldn't go back and change the past if she had an option to. She believes all things happen for a reason.

If she could create her own ice cream flavor it would be scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam! Sounds scrumptious!

 If Professor Maddox could visit anywhere in the world and money wasn't a matter it would be Greece. 

Her office is a bit cluttered but is mostly clean. 

If Professor Maddox could teach any other course it would be Arithmancy. 

Her favorite movie is Mean Girls (mine too! The second one sucks), her favorite book is Seven People You'll meet in Heaven, and her favorite T.V. show is the Big Bang Theory (we have a few things in common). 

Professor Maddox is overly obsessed with teddy bears. Especially Care Bears, she says she has collected every Care Bear she could find. 

If Professor Maddox were isolated on an island she would bring a knife, flint, and a bucket. 

She would sing Lucky by Britney Spears on American idol and wouldn't win because she would black-out before she even got on stage. 

She has mainly been to European and Asian countries. 

A perfect date for her is one where it ends in smiles from both people. 

Her favorite drink is lemonade and green tea. And last, her favorite food is pizza!
