Chapter 10
Regina Darlyn
Regina woke up to the sound, coming from the common room. She sat on the bed and started looking around, to check the time. She looked out of the window and noticed that it was still dark outside. ''What's happening?'' she asked herself and stood up. She opened the door of her room slowly and quietly, so that she could listen to the conversation downstairs.
Regina was a first-year Gryffindor at that time. You probably never heard of her and that's because she was just a normal, quiet, shy student, who never spoke a word with Harry Potter or Ron Weasley, even tho, they were in the same class. She only talked to Hermione once, when she asked her where the bathroom is. But Regina didn't mind that things at that time, because »The golden trio« wasn't famous yet. But still, she was curious about them, she knew that they were up to something.
She stood next to the door and searched the common room with her eyes. Her sight quickly got used to the darkness and she noticed three silhouettes walking down the stairs quietly. ''What's happening?'' she thought again and listened carefully. The students were talking so quietly, that she couldn't hear them. She leaned a bit forward and realized, that these students were none other than Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. She was curious and suddenly, she heard a familiar voice. "You can't go out, you'll be caught again. Gryffindor will be in even more trouble... I won't let you do it. I'll — I'll fight you!" it was Neville Longbottom, they sat together at Transfiguration. Everything was getting more and more exciting and Regina found out that Neville tried to stop his friends from sneaking out again. She was on his side, she already wanted to go downstairs and defend him, when suddenly, Hermione started to speak. She apologized to Neville and then, she did something unexpected. She shouted: ''Petrificus Totalus!'' and Neville froze and fell. Regina got scared and she no longer wanted to go there and face Hermione. She just slowly closed the door and went back to bed. ''What a night!'' she said to herself but she decided not to tell anybody about it, because she had a little crush on Ron and she didn't want to get him into trouble.
Hermione, Harry or Ron never found out about the fact that Regina knew what they did that night. She kept it a secret and that's one of the most exciting things that happened to her in her first year.
