Chapter 1
I was only around 5 when I graduated from a Metamorphmagus to a Transfigurist, after a freak accident. This “power” as you may call it is something I then started to develop more and more. By the age of 7/8 I could transfigure into a ghostly figure, therefore getting the nickname Snape’s ghost. It gained me a few other nicknames too but those are just for me. It basically meant that I could spend more time around him without the need for him to explain anything to anyone. I would spend most of the time in the dungeons but other times I went out with Helena Ravenclaw and it allowed me to explore the castle.

The whole point was that the students had no idea that I was a) The niece of the Professor and b) living there. I was simply a ghost that continued on post-mortem with the other ghosts and because I was a child I could get away with quite a lot.

I understand now from Charlie that there were talks and even bets about me as to who I was, how I had died etc... Because I was always with Professor Snape the main theory was that I was his sister that had died as a child probably like Ariana Dumbledore and was either waiting for my brother to die, wanted to haunt my father OR wanted so much to come to Hogwarts that I just came anyway. I also once heard a theory I think from a Ravenclaw in Bill's year that I was Snape's daughter. As you can imagine I decided to get angry at this and take on full ghost rights. I told my uncle as well and 50 points were mysteriously taken away in Potions.

What they didn’t realise, and when I say they I mean the Professors, my uncle and various students that I was friends with was that this ability meant that I was actually doing a fair amount more than just transfiguring into a ghost.

I guess you could say I was a cheeky Weasley before I even realised it. I was already friends with Peeves, but he did silly pranks that I didn’t like as much, I did different things like going into Filch’s Office and finding objects that were confiscated from students, and taking them for myself.

I would change the labels of the bottles in the potions lab, write notes in library books and spend hours drawing. It was immensely fun. Probably because it was the first time that I had been aloud to be an actual person and be around other people. I didn’t know it at the time but it was the start of Loo, Gred & Forge.
