The Choir
Chapter 1
Some people are and will be surprised to hear that I was never part of the Frog Choir, I have expressed my love of music and singing on various occasions, and in various books especially “who knows me best?” but the frog choir was never one of them. It was even an answer by a few people to the question “which extra school activity did I participate in?” But it isn’t the answer, obviously.
Many are equally surprised when they find out about the Snape-Riddle family love of music, but who wouldn’t? It was simply a strategy that my uncle used. It increases endorphins and makes you happy.
As for Professor Filch? He knew that I enjoyed singing and, on many occasions asked me to join but every single time that he asked me I would say no. It wasn’t that I was scared, quite the opposite I enjoyed the attention but it was as though music was for me and my mum only. A sort of hidden party that nobody else could be allowed to join. It was special and I liked that about it. I had lots of things that I shared with my friends and other students but this was between me, myself and I.
Would I stop my children joining the Frog Choir? No certainly not. If they want to they should. Although Sevie isn't the most pleasant of singers and Bertie has no interest.
