Chapter 2
Obviously, I only knew her once she had died. There is no way I could have known her any other way. I think the first time I really knew her would have been when she would sit in the Potions Lab. Most of the time we were study partners, and a Ravenclaw is usually the best to have. I must have been around 7 years old but once I reached the age of around 9, I was able to walk throughout the castle a little more, to the library and other classrooms that weren’t hidden in the dungeons or in the tallest towers. I would meet up with her there.

She always seemed the most comfortable when we were on the Towers. She taught me much about history, and things I would likely learn. She was always passionate about learning and showed me how to think differently to others, creatively.

Many of my most captivating moments have been with the Grey Lady. I have waited with her and watched as the train, boats and carriages made their way towards the castle I have stood on towers as friends died. I have asked her why she became a ghost but people I love didn’t love me enough to come back, and I see her every so often even though I shouldn’t.
