Try to get one at least 10 inches to 13 inches. Next, take a small pocket knife and carefully skim the bark off. (You may need adult supervision.) Make sure you are careful to not cut yourself. Your stick should now be smooth and has little or no more bark on it. Next, ask an adult to light up an old candle that you don't use anymore. Wait for about 5-10 minutes. The wax should be ready when you see mushy candle was. Blow out the candle. Wait for about 5-10 minutes for the candle wax to cool. Then carefully dip the back of the stick in the wax. Mix it around the wax until 2 inches are covered in wax. Let it dry for 1 hour. After an hour, your wand should be dry. For the last step, (this is optional) you can use some glitter, or fake pearls, etc to decorate your wand. Carefully glue it on where you want it to go. Voilá! Now you have your DIY want!
