Chapter 2
The Book Theif

image
The Book Thief is a book, written by an Australian writer Markus Zusak. It came out in 2005. The whole thing is happening in Germany, so the book is written in English and a little bit of German (with translations of course). It's very long, it has about 600 pages.
The book is about a life of a young German girl, called Liesel. She loses her whole family during the 2nd World War, when she's nine years old and gets adopted by a couple from München. It's hard for her to fit in, she doesn't know how to read or write, because she never went to school before. Her new father teaches her a lot of things including reading. The war isn't over and everything is getting more and more tuff. But Liesel gets a best friend, a boy called Rudy and they share their deepest secrets. She loves reading, but they are poor and they can't afford books, so she steals them from a rich woman. The end is really really sad, I cried when I read it.
The Book Thief is one of my favourite books, it's so realistic, it's very long and just so amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone, though it is not really for children. The thing that I like the most is, that the whole story is told from Death, the collector of souls.
This book is really worth reading and it was also adapted into a film of the same name.

The Famous Black Male Blood-line May not Be Exinct!

image
Did you know some Hogwarts students have been reconstructing the Black family tapestry lately? They’ve been doing it on a Muggle app called My Heritage, and have discovered long-lost relationships and ancestors that have been confirmed official!

Until now, we knew about the Black family just until Phineas Nigellus Black, a Slytherin Hogwarts headmaster, ‘s descendance: we knew who his parents (Cygnus Black I and Ella Max) and siblings were, but what about before? This happened around 7 generations ago, but we’ve recently discovered who Phineas N. Black’s grandparents were! Their names are unknown, but we know that Phineas’s great-grandparents were Magenta Tripe and Licorus Black, who had four children, apart from Phineas’s grandfather. These were Hesper, Alexia Walkin, Phoebe and Eduardus Limette. This last one was disowned and burned off the Black’s family tapestry for an unknown reason, and it is unknown if he had any children or a wife or husband.
Eduardus Limette Black is the only unregistered Black member, which means there’s a chance that more Black people are still alive (referring to people who already have the last name, not people who are related by blood of course). From what we know, there are only six alive people with Black blood, and two of them aren’t even on the tapestry. But there’s good news! Teddy Lupin, grandson of Andromeda Black (who was disowned for marrying Ted Tonks, a muggle-born) is rumoured to be engaged to Victoire Weasley, daughter of Bill Weasley (whose grandmother Cedrella was also a member of the Black family, and was also disowned for marrying Septimus Weasley, a blood traitor) and Fleur Delacour. It’s been said that they will be married by the summer of 2023, and there are even rumors that the Lupins, Teddy’s paternal family, might be very distantly related to the Blacks. These are only rumours, though. Nothing is confirmed.
