The Diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw is said to enhance the wisdom of the wearer. Generations of Ravenclaw students have searched for the Diadem to no avail. Long after Helena Ravenclaw had hid the Diadem in a hollow tree in Albania, her ghost at Hogwarts was approached by a young Slytherin named Tom Riddle. Swayed by his charm, she told him the location of the Diadem. Tom Riddle then found the Diadem and turned it into a Hogwarts. He hid it in the Room of Hidden Things at Hogwarts, where, years later, it was found by Harry Potter. The Diadem was destroyed when Vincent Crabbe started a Fiendfyre in which it was caught.
