Chapter 8
Winky
Winky is a house elf who served the Crouch family. She was shocked when her master Barty Crouch Sr. released her. Inconsolate, poor Winky drowns her sorrows in butterbeer, a drink she becomes addicted to. She joins Hogwarts with Dobby.
Physical description :
Winky is a house elf with huge brown eyes and a tomato-shaped nose. She has a small, high-pitched voice. Until her release by Barty Crouch Sr., she wore a tea towel as a toga, then dressed in a skirt, bodice and hat when she entered the kitchens from Hogwarts. Winky is obviously not taking care of his things, they are stained and burnt.
Personality:
Being very traditional and devoted to her status, Winky considers freedom the greatest dishonor a house elf can suffer. She is also against payment for her work, as house elves are not initially allowed to demand payment.
