At first you meet another fangirl. In my case, I met two. They are my best fangirl friends now. 

Mostly, you hear them talking about the series and you have NO IDEA what they're talking about. You ask them ''What are you talking about??'' and if you meet only one fangirl she will tell you to go read the books, NOW. 

Well, then you go read the books. Just try them, if you don't like it you'll just stop reading it. BUT the fangirl seed has been sown. You go read them and you're like ''Oh, these are nice books! I like Harry with his Nimbus Two Thousand and Hedwig at Hogwarts! :D'' You finish the first one and then you go read the second book. You hope it's as nice as the first one.
