I was stopped.
By who you might ask
I'm not exactly sure yet
She just stopped me in my path
She looked at me; I looked at her
When I saw her face,
I was confused
She looks like me
*Where did she come from?*
*Is she my twin?*
That's crazy; I don't have a twin
She approaches me with anger in her eyes
*Did I do something?*
*I don't think I did*
She tells me to stop trusting everyone
I ask, "Why?"
"You'll only get hurt."
I tell her that I'll work on it
"If you keep getting hurt, I will keep showing up."
*I wonder, why*
"I am your darkness," she tells me
I take a step back and process what she just said
I see a giant flash of light in the distance
Then,
I wake up.
