*Minister Hermione Granger-Weasley strikes the gavel on the desk*
MINISTER OF MAGIC: Ladies and Gentlemen, Court is now in session.
Bring in Delphini Lestrange-Riddle.
MINISTER OF MAGIC: Miss Lestrange-Riddle. You have been in Azkaban prison now for approximately 3months?
DELPHINI: Yes (looks up into the stands looking for Louisa)
(Louisa Weasley grips tightly to Charlie Weasley’s hand who grips back).
MINISTER OF MAGIC: You are charged with the abduction of 2 underage wizards Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy and attempting to bring back the dark wizard, Voldemort.
DELPHINI: (spotting Louisa and Charlie in the stands she smiles) Yes.
MINISTER OF MAGIC: (looking up) You may at this time enter a plea.
DELPHINI: I am guilty Minister, but it wasn’t quite like that.
MINISTER OF MAGIC: You may give your version of events in due course.
The courts will hear first from … (looks at the sheet of paper) … Mr Draco Lucius Malfoy.
DRACO: Thank you Minister.
AN OFFICIAL: Were you the first person to learn of your son’s disappearance Mr Malfoy?
DRACO: Err no, Louisa… I mean Mrs Weasley isn’t allowed to speak so I’m speaking on her behalf.
MINISTER OF MAGIC: and you feel this to be appropriate?
DRACO: I do.
DAILY PROPHET JOURNALIST: Aren’t you related to Miss Lestrange, Mr Malfoy?
DRACO: She’s my cousin.
DAILY PROPHET JOURNALIST: So, if Mrs Weasley is not allowed to speak why are you?
DRACO: Because my son was abducted! If it wasn’t for him the world would be…
MINISTER OF MAGIC: Enough Mr Malfoy. Please give your view of the matter.
DRACO: I don’t like what she did (looking at Delphini) but most of it was…well meaning.
MINISTER OF MAGIC: Next, I would like to ask Mr Harry James and Mrs Ginevra Molly Potter, the parents of Albus
Severus Potter.
AN OFFICIAL: Tell me Mr & Mrs Potter do you share the sentiments raised by Mr Malfoy?
HARRY: I do not. My son died.
AN OFFICIAL: Mrs Potter?
GINNY: Actually yes, I hate what has happened. But I also see that it brought both Harry and Draco closer to their sons. I have known Delphi a long time. I see that, like Louisa she is an Orphan. She never met her father and consequently wanted to do right not only by him but also a man that has been highly spoken about by many her whole life. (Harry stares at his wife)
MINISTER OF MAGIC: Could you name that person Mrs Potter?
GINNY: Cedric Diggory
MINISTER OF MAGIC: Thank you Mrs Potter. In court today we have Mr Amos Diggory.
If someone can help Mr Diggory to the stand. Mr Diggory, thank you for coming.
AMOS: Thank you Minister
MINISTER OF MAGIC: This was your nurse I believe at St Oswalds Home?
AMOS: Yes Minister
AN OFFICIAL: And how do you feel about Delphini Lestrange-Riddle? Mr Diggory?
AMOS: She took my name, but tried to bring back my boy.
MINISTER OF MAGIC: Yes Mr Diggory, I believe that someone may be able to help you in some way.
The courts will reconvene in 10 days’ time.
