The Hidden Snape

Chapter 1
So, few people understand but Hogwarts was and is built to protect itself, therefore the castle of Hogwarts is able to protect the students within it and, if it ever comes to it, defend itself. There are secret passage ways, ways of getting in and out of the castle should you need it and ways of keeping people hidden. From 1985-1989 I was hidden by the castle in the dungeons.

It was a room just off of the Potions Classroom. Why? Because my uncle was Head of Slytherin and needed to be close at hand. The dungeons were not a place that I liked all that much. Some people thought of them as cool and calming places I found them to be dark and dreary. The entrance to the Slytherin Com-mon Room was weird and cast a greenish light around the place that I hated. Our room was small and consisted of two beds, a writing desk and an area for my uncle to work in private.

Next to our room was a room for duelling. Basically, this is where various Professors would watch over different students duelling for the first time. It was to ensure student safety which became increasingly negligent as the years passed.

Also in the dungeons were the kitchens, where I would eat, the Hufflepuff Common Room, the Potions Class room and the Alchemy class room which were actually 2 separate rooms. I remember that I learnt to transfigure myself at a young age just so that I would be able to look older. I knew that if I could blend in with the other students I could make myself look older and hide myself even more in Hogwarts.
