Lily J Evans was born to Muggles, Mr and Mrs Evans on the 30th January 1960. She had an older sister Petunia and she lived with her family in Cokeworth. Believe me when I say that Cokeworth is not the happiest of places, I know because I was born there as well. It is filled with turmoil and unpleasantness. How she became so nice I do not know. Being the only magical person must have made life difficult for her. I had magical parents which made life much easier. She attended Hogwarts from 1971-1978, she was in the same year as my uncle Severus, who lived close to them at that time, and yet she was sorted into Gryffindor whereas he was sorted into Slytherin.

I don’t know exactly where Lily and her family used to live but I think it was in one of the bigger houses on the outskirts. We lived in one of the smaller terrace houses close to the common. She ended up marrying James Potter and they moved to a house in Godric’s Hollow on the 31st July 1980 she gave birth to a boy named Harry James Potter. I don’t know if my uncle wished that he and Lily had had a child but I saw glimpses in his eyes on more than a few occasions.

I regret to be able to say that she was killed by my father, Tom Marvolo Riddle on the 31st of October 1981 along with her husband James at the tender age of 21. I hate that it was my father that killed her. But the whole story made me into a strong and powerful witch. Something I truly do not regret.

For Lily today would be her 71st Birthday.
