Chapter 12
the next morning Sophie didn't want to go to school but she had to, so she reluctantly got out of bed and walked down stairs and had breakfast.
when she got to her telepathy session tiergan wasn't there but Fitz was, her mind immediately when back to the conversation that she and keefe had." Fitz, I need to tell you something. Fitz turned to her " I all ready know. oh wait did keefe tell you? no I…read your mind is it really all you can think about right now?" she nodded " so you know about gethen? Yeah and orilie?" he nodded I'm not mad at you but who know who I am mad at? who? the collective for not telling me." he nodded yeah me to, though isn't it less stressful now you know? yeah but it I get my hands in Magnate Leto I'm going to- what about magnate Leto?" tiergan cut in coming into the room. "n-nothing "Fitz stuttered "no!" Sophie snapped "I cant keep doing this, acting like every thing is fine when it's not Fitz's eyes went wide be was shocked "what you think i was going to hide the fact that i not mad about gethan!! wait he told you? he frowned
"yes he did but it's fine, none of you had the decency to warn me before Monday, you could have warned me but of course you didn't, how could you!?!" a wave of betrayal hit her and Fitz grabed her shoulders to steady her "It's okay," Fitz told her, holding her steady. "He didn't tell us he was going to tell you," Tiergan told her. "then how do you know?! How could you do this to me, all of you. she gasped then looked at Fitz "Dex" she barely managed to get out "how do we tell him- his mom -she- gethen-he-." she collapses into his arm I don't know what to do!!! Fitz caught her again, helping her stand. "Thanks Fitz" sophie said "but how do we tell him? I don't know why you couldn't have at least told Dex, he deserves to know. his mom new all along, even when he and I were kidnaped, she new it was my father who did it, and yet you still did not tell him. I hate you all of you." she whispered so quietly that even Fitz could barley hear.
When Fitz heard he was deathly pale when he heard. Fitz looked at her then back at to tiergan then he blew out a breath. "Sophie I know your mad"- tigeran started "oh you do? Have you been lied to your whole life? huh? how about when Forkel was killed, now I have to live with the fact that MY DAD was the one who kiled him not you!!" she felt Fitz rubbing her back for support. “We chose not to tell you for your safety,” Tiergan said. "i dont care its not up to you it was about my life!! and how is it keeping me safe huh can you tell me that"? how are you soposto keep me safe when your ling to me al the time" sophie was crying and shaking Fitz helped her sit down and she put her face in her hands
she heard somthing else but couldnt make it out then she saw tiergan walk out of the telepathy room sopihe looked at Fitz who was breathing heavely.
you ok? Sophie transmitted no I'm not but how are you? Fitz said siting across from her "I've certainly been better but you know tiergan, by the way were did he go? i think he went to talk with Magnate Leto, I kind of blew up at him after you sat down. oh. yeah he's probably going to set up a meeting with the gang, great." Sophie thought. "so I'm going to most likely have to tell every one? No." Fitz shook his head "no ones going to force you to tell any- one if you don't want to." Sophie smiled. "we should probably head to lunch. yeah I guess we should. They stand up and walk to lunch."
