Chapter 2
Information about Batman below, and about the City a bit, and about the Bad-Guys:
WHERE IT IS SET: Gotham City.
Batman is set in Gotham City, in the State of New Jersey. Yes. Gotham City is a run down city, the criminals wrecking the City. Joker and all the other bad guys want to destroy the City. That is when Batman comes.
THE BAD GUYS: Joker, Harley Quinn, Bane, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Clayface, Penguin, Freezeman, Riddler, Twoface, Scarecrow, Killer-Croc, Killer-moth, and Mad-Hatter.
Yes, 14 bad guys. And Batman has to fight them ALL. I think there are more bad guys, but I don't really know those ones... or have I got all of them?
Anyway, INFORMATION ABOUT THE BAT:
As a child, a young Bruce Wayne witnesses the death of his parents at the hands of a crazed criminal. As an adult, Bruce travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice. He lives amongst the boroughs of criminals and thieves in central Asia. Eventually, he meets a mysterious figure named Ra's Al Guhl and joins his gang called the League of Shadows. Using his training, he is able to defeat his trainer. Finally meeting up with his estate caretaker Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham. There, he becomes the new head of Wayne Enterprises. Together, with the help of the C.E.O. of the Wayne Enterprises Applied Sciences division, a man name Lucius Fox, he dons a new persona: Batman. As Batman takes on the criminals and organized crime underworld of Gotham, a sinister new underbelly of the city is exposed, and a new class of criminal is born. Will Batman be the one to stop them all, or does Gotham need a hero with a face?
Bruce Wayne, who experiences the death of his parents at a very young age, relocates to Asia and trains with his mentors, Henri Ducard and Ra's Al Ghul in fighting injustice. He returns to a crime-ridden Gotham and with the help of his old butler and estate caretaker, Alfred, the C.E.O. of Wayne Enterprises Applied Science Division Lucius Fox, he dons a new persona, Batman, to strike fear into the hearts of the criminals and the corrupt. With the help of rising cop Gordon, and the Assistant District Attorney, and Bruce's love interest Rachel Dawes, he is able to take down the Mafia Don Falcone, and the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan Crane a.k.a. The Scarecrow. With Ra's Al Ghul's return with his evil plan to destroy Gotham by inducing fear into the hearts of the people, Batman must defeat his mentor once again so as to bring peace in Gotham.
As a boy, a young Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his millionaire parents were slain in front of his eyes, a trauma which led him to become obsessed with revenge, but his chance is cruelly taken away from him by fate. After disappearing to the East where he seeks counsel with the dangerous but honorable ninja cult leader known as Ra's Al-Ghul, he returns to his now decaying Gotham City overrun by organized crime and dangerous individuals manipulating the system while the company he inherited is slowly being pulled out from under him. The discovery of a cave under his mansion, and a prototype armored suit leads him to take on a new persona, one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong, he becomes Batman. In the new guise, and with the help of rising cop Jim Gordon, Batman sets out to take down the various nefarious schemes in motion by individuals such as Mafia Don Falcone, the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan "The Scarecrow" Crane, and a mysterious third party that is quite familiar with Wayne and waiting to strike when the time is right.
Basically, Bruce becomes Batman - and he's ready to fight for Gotham! He's ready to fight, and below are the bad guys he fights!
And information about the bad guys:
The Joker, initially portrayed as a small-time crook, was disfigured and driven insane by an accident with toxic chemicals. He was depicted with chalk-white skin, ruby-red lips permanently fixed in a demonic grin, and bright green hair. He was created in 1940 by illustrator Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger; their collaborator Jerry Robinson also claimed credit for the character’s inspiration. Early stories portrayed him (post-accident) as a homicidal psychopath, but by the mid-1950s he had been softened into a thief whose crimes were also gags. In the 1960s the character devolved into outright camp in a farcical Batman television series.
Harley Quinn:
It describes Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, Ph.D. as an Arkham Asylum psychologist who falls in love with the Joker and becomes his accomplice and on-again, off-again girlfriend. ... When Batman returns a severely injured Joker to Arkham, she dons a jester costume to become Harley Quinn, the Joker's sidekick.
Bane:
Possessing a mix of brute strength and exceptional intelligence, Bane is often credited as the only villain to have "broken the bat" both physically and mentally. He is a son of another of Batman's enemies, King Snake.
Poison Ivy:
Poison Ivy is a character that wants trees to rule the world. She won't rest till trees rule the world.
Superhuman Powers: Poison Ivy has toxins in her blood stream that make her touch deadly and allow her to be immune to all poisons, viruses, bacteria, and fungi. She also has displayed a power of charm, which puts people under her influence. Ivy also possesses the power to make plant life do as she wishes. She also has access to the following weapons: barbed whipping vines, poisoned darts, poisoned lipstick, poisoned fingernails, and crossbow.
Catwoman:
Catwoman, cartoon character, a wily and agile professional thief and sometime love interest of superhero Batman. Clad in a skintight bodysuit and stylized mask and carrying a whip, Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, has frequently crossed and recrossed the line between villain and antiheroine.
Clayface:
Clayface is a villain in the DC Comics and Batman's enemy. He is a clay-like monster capable of shape-shifting and superhuman abilities.
The original Clayface, Basil Karlo, was an actor turned murderer who transformed into Clayface. Many other people became Clayface: Matthew Hagen, Preston Payne, Sondra Fuller, Cassius Payne, Claything, Todd Russell and Johnny Williams.
Penguin:
The Penguin is one of Batman's most enduring enemies and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up Batman's rogues gallery. The Penguin is a Gotham City mobster who fancies himself the "Gentleman of Crime". ... Batman sometimes uses the nightclub as a source of criminal underworld information.
The Penguin was teased very much in his childhood due to his short stature, obesity, and bird-like nose. These traits made him an outcast in his rich, debutante family. Their rejection drove him to become evil.
Freezeman:
Having a cold heart doesn't mean you're incapable of feeling love. Just ask Victor Fries. His is a sad tale of loss, obsession and villainy.
An expert in the field of cryogenics, Victor led a relatively normal existence. He worked diligently, but also fell in love with and eventually married a woman named Nora. Sadly, things took an unfortunate turn soon after. Nora became terminally ill, and to stop her degenerative disease from taking her life, Victor put her into suspended animation. His devotion to Nora led to his downfall.
The corporation funding Victor's work shut down his experiments and, in the process, caused a horrible accident, errantly releasing coolants in his lab that did irreparable harm to Victor's body’s chemistry. Transforming the former Dr. Fries into an ice-colored monstrosity, the coolants made it impossible for him to survive above freezing temperatures. To counteract this, Victor constructed a special, ultra-durable suit to keep his body alive and at the right temperature. He embraced his new persona and became Mr. Freeze.
Mr. Freeze is on a constant quest to bring back his beloved Nora, and he'll do whatever it takes to succeed. He wields a freeze gun and uses ice and cold to wreak havoc—mostly in Gotham and against Batman, but he'll turn his chill upon anyone standing in his way.
Riddler:
The Riddler is one of the most enduring enemies of the superhero Batman and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up his rogues gallery. In 2009, IGN named the Riddler the 59th greatest comic book villain.
Riddler grew increasingly frustrated and delusional over the years, believing Batman was a cheater who couldn't beat his challenges. The desire to prove himself better than Batman had finally consumed him. This eventually drove him to ensure the Dark Knight didn't have a chance of winning, by eliminating any fair play.
Twoface:
Twoface, obviously, is a two-faced man with a coin that he flips and that decides choices for him.
Two-Face (Harvey Dent) is a fictional supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as an adversary of the superhero Batman. The character was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and first appeared in Detective Comics #66 (August 1942). As one of Batman's most enduring enemies, Two-Face belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up Batman's rogues gallery.
Scarecrow:
One of the most scariest enemies that Batman has faced, Scarecrow is a criminal that has poison gas. His actual name is Jonathan Crane. Scarecrow began his first reign of terror not long after Dick Grayson became the first Robin during Batman's second year. Scarecrow was the first 'super villain' Robin fought, following the training he received directly from Batman after his parents' deaths.
Killer-Croc:
The Killer-Croc is a half man, and half reptile. He has low intelligence but great strength, as well as crocodilian abilities, such as a keen sense of smell and the ability to hold his breath underwater for long periods of time.
Killer Moth:
Killer Moth (Drury Walker) is a fictional supervillain appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, usually as an adversary and dedicated evil counterpart of Batman. Like Batman, he has no superpowers and relies on his technical equipment, including a Mothmobile and numerous gimmicks.
MAD-Hatter
Mad Hatter is depicted as a scientist who invents and uses technological mind-controlling devices to influence and manipulate the minds of his victims. He is one of Batman's most enduring enemies and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up Batman's rogues gallery.
