fantastic-beasts-Unicorn

The existence of Unicorns must be a badly kept secret in the Wizarding World because they have, like a few other beasts, a role associated with magic in Muggle mythology.

Unicorn's hair from the tail or head can be used for Potions and as wand cores, and the horn is also used in Potions ,but slaying a Unicorn for its blood is considered a horrible crime. "Only one who has nothing to lose, and everything to gain would commit such a crime. The blood of the Unicorn will keep you alive, even if you're an inch from death, but at a terrible price. You will have slain something so pure and defenceless to save yourself, you will have but a half-life,a cursed life, from the moment the blood touches your lips."

Classification: XXXX(the Unicorn is classified XXXX not because they are dangerous, because they should be treated with great respect.)

Diet
The Unicorns are vegetarian, and during spring and summer, they like to eat foods such as herbs, soft mosses, flowers and tender young leaves.İn winter, they spend longer periods without eating.Lavender is said to be Unicorn's favorite food.

Did You Know?

Unicorns are faster than werewolves."Could a werewolf kill the unicorns?" "Not fast enough",said Hagrid."It's not easy ter catch a unicorn, they're powerfull magic creatures.I never knew one ter be hurt before."
