Harry Potter Character of the Issue

Chapter 5
Seamus Finnigan, Harry Potter's schoolmate and later close friend and renowned pyrotechnic wizard, is our Harry Potter character of the issue. Hailing from Westport, Ireland, from 1991-1998, Seamus attended Hogwarts, a Harry Potter schoolmate who later participated in the Hogwarts battle and lent his pyrotechnic skills in the fight. Seamus went on to play for his local Quidditch team in the role of chaser after Voldemort was vanquished, creating new Pyrotechnic spells in his spare time. Eventually, these spells were discovered by a researcher and released with the permission of Finnigan, leading to the wizard becoming popular for advanced fire charms. Finnigan has contributed to the book 'My account of the wizarding war' by Hermione Weasley, and because of this has gained further fame. Finnigan was a member of Gryffindor's house during his school years and was best friends with Dean Thomas, although he was also closely associated with Harry Potter. However, in his fifth year, on account of Potter, Finnigan almost didn't return to school because Finnigan's mother, Sinead Finnigan, believed what was written about Potter in the daily prophet. As a result, Finnigan entered into a feud with Potter and did not speak to him until he started attending the DA meetings to which he was convinced to come along by his friend Dean. Finnigan later apologised to Potter and they renewed their friendship. Finnigan is not yet married but has been with Susan Bones in a long-term relationship, and the two are predicted to be engaged sometime soon. - By Sabrina Tremblay, HG Founder, Editor & Manager
