Girl To Girl

Chapter 5

I sat in my room in silence with my door wide open playing with my yo-yo swinging it up and down, up and down until I heard footsteps coming towards my room. I stood with a smile on my face any moment now my eyes would meet with Toms black ones but instead my eyes met with pale grey eyes and long sleek blonde hair perfectly styled.

"Pevensie"It was Lily Partridge but this time she was not with her gang.

"What happened to your followers did they finally leave you alone? "I asked spite filling my voice.

"Actually they are still down in the dining room but I can bring them up here if you want?"Lily replied.

"No I think we should settle this here and now, no longer Lily Partridge will you bully me"I said as she began to laugh.

"Ah your so funny do you really think anyone will fear you anyway where's your boyfriend is too busy to be with you?"

"Hes not my boyfriend! "I said raising my voice and talking through my clenched teeth.

"Oh I see you just want to keep your relationship private do you? "Lily replied cocking an eyebrow and crossing her arms over her chest.

"Your boyfriend isn't here to save you now! "She said and pulled a book of my shelf and took me by surprise hitting me to the floor with the hard, leather cased school book. I yelped but got on my hands and knees checking to see if I was bleeding and I was, that was the last straw she's going to get it but as I stood up everything in my room was floating around me and Lily stood in shock her mouth agape.

"Your are cursed! "She screamed pointing her finger at me and then running out of my room leaving me in awe of what I had done.Tom walked in and everything was still floating around me.

"Tom what have I done? "I said and Tom walked over to me and put a clean cloth to my forehead dabbing it a bit as I winced my head throbbing.

"It will be ok but you will have a bruise"Tom said as I held the cloth to my forehead to stop the bleeding.

"Did you see what I did? "I asked as we sat down on my bed.

"Yes "Tom said solemnly not looking at me.

"Is that normal, can you do th-"I began but stopped when Tom looked upset.

"What's wrong Tom? "I asked taking his hand and squeezing it.

"I wasn't there "He said quietly so quiet that I only just managed to make out what he had said.

"What do you mean? "I replied confused.

"I wasn't there to stop her from hurting you when I promised I would help you I was too late"Tom said sounding angry with himself.

"I didn't expect you to be there and I honestly don't mind the fact you weren't there after all you cant be everywhere at once right?"I said jokingly but Tom looked me right in the eyes seriously.

"Your wrong its not alright its not alright at all!"Tom yelled as he stood from the bed and stormed back into his room slamming it and leaving me in silence on the bed clutching the cloth to my forehead. I sighed in defeat and slowly closed my door I would read a book until Tom came out because it was not going to be anytime soon that he forgave himself.
