Elizabeth Bennet, Eliza or Lizzy is undoubtedly the most famous heroine of Jane Austen. She is the second of five daughters of Mr. Bennet and his favorite. They are complicit in fun and joy with which often evaluate others. But she is the least considered by her mother due to her beauty that does not equate to Jane, the elder sister, but also because of her spirit that is not as jovial as the younger sister, Lydia.

Elizabeth has a confident, alive, playful, intelligent, critical nature, enhanced by her keen sense of observation. Can always take advantage of the most ridiculous situations. "Elizabeth relies heavily on her first impression of a person.  She
judges people based on the impression she gets of that person, rather
than what the facts or even other people may tell her (...) She is very opinionated and doesn’t censor herself to comfort the people she doesn’t care to please."

However, throughout the book, we also found that people with these characteristics can be deluded. It's what happens when Elizabeth meets Mr. Wickham. This man of good figure and high eloquence drives her attention away and make these these particular characteristics of Lizzy fall asleep.

When she meets him she does not realize that the gentleman speaks openly of very private affairs to someone of such a recent knowledge, conversations that no one would have if it was not clear of his intentions to mislead his  listener. Is it just when the marriage proposal of Mr. Darcy and through its letter that Elizabeth verifies how naive she was. Despite having such a strong and so independent character, she is not protected from more malicious minds that come from a world she does not know. I think Jane Austen tries, too, through this book draw attention to this reality.

Lizzy has wit, intelligence, great communication, bravery, independant mind, cares little for the opinions of others when she believes in what she does, impulsive, bold, stubborn, proud, she has a very emotional nature and is not easily persuaded nor intimidated, she says, without problem, what's on her mind, regardless of who she has in front of her.  And although stubborn, she has the humility to recognize her mistakes (although this has to be shown to her in detail!).

So you won't be surprised if I choose to sort her into GRYFFINDOR.
