DARK ARTS: What we fight all the time, what most of us are against.
DARK LORD: Otherwise known as Voldemort, Tom Marvolo Riddle or He who must not be named.
DEATH-EATER: Followers of the Dark Lord / Voldemort.
DELPHINI: My half-sister daughter of Bellatrix Lestrange and Lord Voldemort. Her full name is Delphini Lestrange-Riddle but has been known to go by the name of Delphini Diggory.
DEMENTOR: Guards of the prison of Azkaban. That have worked for Voldemort in the past. They are spirits that are able to such out your soul by what is known as the kiss of death. They make the air around you go cold.
DEMIGUISE: Is a creature known for its ability to transfigure. for this reason it is very difficult to capture as it becomes invisible. otherwise it has a very peaceful temperament.
DEVIL’S SNARE: A very dangerous plant that has tentacle-like branches and can suffocate or crush the person captured. It likes damp and dark places and hates the sun.
DIADEM: An object similar to a tiara. One was possessed by Rowena Ravenclaw and cursed by Tom M Riddle.
DIAGON ALLEY: A place where Magical items may be purchased, such as books, brooms, potion ingredients and pets. The name is a play on Diagonally.
DIARY: The Diary of Tom M Riddle that was enchanted and given to Ginny Weasley in the Chamber of Secrets. It turned out to be a Horcrux.
DIFFINDO: The Severing Charm, used in potions, herbology and various other classes to cut things accurately.
DIRICAWL: Is also known as the dodo and is believed extinct by muggles however magical people still know of the creature to be extant.
DIVINATION: The art of seeing the past present and future by using ones third eye.
DOBBY: A house elf that was once owned by the Malfoy family and was made a Free-Elf before his death.
DOXY: A small winged creature that gives terrible bites. Some believe these bites to have great healing powers but I don't know. I would rather just not be bitten in the first place.
DRACO MALFOY: Some call him annoying, most call him things behind his back. I became best-friends with him when it got to 1996. He is now the father of Scorpius Malfoy and was married to Astoria Malfoy/Greengrass. He was seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team. I would say many things about his musical abilities but he is standing too close.
DRAGON: A magical creature that I have spent far too much time around. I didn't love them before but I sure do now. From the Chinese Fireballs or the Swedish Shortsnouts, the Welsh Green or the Norwegian Ridgeback.
DUEL: A magical fight between 2 people.
DUGBOG: marsh dwelling magical beast that looks like a log.
DURMSTRUNG ACADEMY: Magical School in Sweden frequented by people like Viktor Krum, Gellhert Grindelwald, Delphini Lestrange-Riddle and Garit Prince.
DURSLEYS: The Dursleys are the relations uncle, aunt and cousin that Harry Potter lives with after the death of Lily and James Potter. They are muggles and live in Privet Drive, Little Winging.
