ABERFORTH DUMBLEDORE: The brother of Albus Dumbledore and he aided me and the Golden Trio when getting people out of Hogwarts he lived in Hogsmeade.
ACROMANTULA: A type of spider native to the rainforests of Borneo. Aragog was one of these spiders. They are sentient (of human-like intelligence) and capable of human speech.
ALBUS: Albus actually means white but it is the name of a star and the first name of the Headmaster of Hogwarts (Albus Dumbledore) and a son of Harry and Ginny Potter (Albus Potter)
ALICIA SPINNET: A Gryffindor student that was in the year above me and played Chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
AMORTENTIA: The most powerful love potion in the world. It smells differently to each person, and has a distinctive mother of pearl sheen to it.
ANDROMEDA TONKS: The name of Nymphadora Tonk's mother. She is middle sister to Narcissa Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange. Collectively they were known as the Black sisters.
ANIMAGUS: This is the term for a person that is able to change their form from human to animal. It is a skill that can be learnt.
ARIANA DUMBLEDORE. Younger sister to Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore. She was said to have been ill as a child and died when she was a girl.
ARTHUR WEASLEY: Head of the Weasley family and father of 7 children. He also took in various other children. He worked for the Ministry of Magic in the department of Misuse and Artefacts, and was fascinated with everything related to do with muggles.
ASHWINDER: A type of snake that I like to call the phoenix of serpents because they are created in magical fire. they collapse into dust and are reborn in the flames. Their eggs are also used in love potions.
ASTORIA MALFOY: She was born Astoria Greengrass and is the younger sister to Daphne Greengrass. Wife of Draco Malfoy and mother of Scorpius Malfoy. She was inflicted with the Maladictus curse, similar to Nagini.
ASTROLOGY: Astrology is part of divination and using the celestial bodies that we see in the sky and understanding how they will effect the world around us, past, present and future.
ASTRONOMY: Astronomy is the study of the universe, the stars, moon, sun, comets and planets.
AUGUREY: An Augurey is a bird, often referred to as the Irish phoenix that foretells when rain is coming and when bad things may happen.
AUROR: An Auror is a person that works at the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Law Enforcement. They are highly trained witches and wizards.
AVADA KEDAVRA: The Killing Curse that was not only used against me but many of my friends and family. It is possible to survive the curse. It comes under one of the Unforgivable Curses.
AZKABAN: This is prison for Magical people.
