Lesson Three: Wand Properties & Movements Study Guide
Chapter 4
Wands are deemed semi-sentient. Wands are not living things, which would be a breach of a transfiguration law. Wands are also not self-sufficient, so they need a magical being to be used. Wand lengths are usually nine to fourteen inches. Wand flexibility is based on a person's desire to change & how well they adapt to the change. Wands have only one wood source. If wands used more than one wood type, it would produce strain which would lessen the wand's power. There can be only one core in a wand. If there would've been more than one, the wand would become weak & explode. Most spells must have your wand pointed at your aiming object or rival at the end of the movement. One of the magical limits is the details for every spell is different than the next. You must say the correct words properly & recall the correct movements. If not, it can be disastrous.
