CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Chapter 1
I am really finding it hard to believe that today is the 20th Wedding Anniversary of Percy and Audrey Weasley.
Sometimes I wonder if I got my dates mixed up but do matter how many times, I check the result comes out the same. 20 YEARS!!! It seems as if there has been a great finality about it but no.
Ok so who are they? Well Percy is my Brother-in-law. Feels like I've known him all my life but in reality I've known him since I was about 9, he could probably be considered really annoying and over the top (I think my book "Shut up Percy" speaks for itself). Then there was a period of around 5 years that we didn't speak at all. Now I am glad to say that we are on much better terms. especially as I married his brother.
Audrey is perfectly nice. I have written about her in several books that you can look at. And their kids, Molly and Lucy are wonderful. read "next generation" for that.
So on to their gift...
Platinum. So, what is Platinum? As a potions and alchemy geek I will try and tell you simply.
It is a chemical element with the symbol Pt, 78, and it means “little silver”. It has 6 naturally occurring isotopes and is one of the rarer elements in the earths crust. We have been searching around for some ideas and to be honest we haven’t really come up with anything. The standard Jewellery, someone did talk about a Swedish massage but I wasn’t quite as keen on that idea.
We want to do something that is fun, not quite as funny as George and Angelina. But still get them something that says “we thought about you and want you to know that”. It probably needs to be quite simple. It’s not like we want to get them a Dragon’s Egg but we want to show a bit of ourselves in what we get them.
Gift buying is honestly the trickiest thing I have ever done. The kids want a gift from them too, that shows their personality. I think Bertie is verging more on the RIDDLE / KNOWLEDGE side whereas Sevie is going for a more, “FIERY” approach.
If you have ideas PLEASE let us know we welcome all of them. 20 Years.
Budget of about $100 or £70 or 80€ or 20Galleons, 13 Sickles, 13 Knuts (very rough estimate).
