Chapter 1
Today we are celebrating another wonderful birthday. That of Queenie Goldstein. What do we know about Queenie? Well actually more than you’d think. Many things that people come up with are based on circumstantial evidence but actually we have quite a lot of knowledge about this wonderful witch. I have seen many theories, many discussions in which Queenie is related to Severus Snape and therefore me.
Well, I am here to tell you that there is no truth in the matter. Other than us both having a Jewish connection and her sharing a skill of legilimence with my uncle I’m afraid that is it. Legilimence is a skill that can be learnt. It is not necessarily a natural born talent. I also believe that British Jews are not related to the same people as American Jews but I may be wrong in that. She went to Ilvermorney school of magic in America and was sorted into Pukwudgie House which for Hogwarts people like me, is equivalent to Hufflepuff. (I will speak about them in a book to follow I promise). I guess this is because of her caring nature, legilimence skills and why she is able to get on with people like Jacob and Newt so well.
She was born on the 6th January 1903 to Mr and Mrs Goldstein. She had an older sister named Porpentina, but known as Tina. Their parents died of Dragon Pox when they were very young. Newt Scamander became her brother-in-law as a ended up marrying her sister Tina and they had a Grandson by the name of Rolf Scamander. Rolf was also a Hufflepuff, and married Luna Lovegood. There are many that talk about him becoming a magizoologist and talks with Charlie Weasley. I can’t possibly comment other than to say that they both attended our wedding in 2004.
She is of course great great aunt to Lysander and Lorcan Scamander. She once was in love, or at least had a romantic acquaintance with Jacob Kowalski, a No-Mag of Polish descent in New York. She used to work for the Ministry of Magic in America or MACUSA and has been in alliance with not only the Wand permit office but Gellert Grindelwald when he rose to power. This was something that was not taken well by members of her family or the Ministry themselves.
She had blonde hair and blue eyes and it seems was considered quite a “blonde bombshell” I assume like Marylin Monroe or someone like that. I never got to meet her but it would be nice to.
