Cursed
Chapter 1
When I first arrived in the dungeons of Hogwarts, at the age of seven (1985), Hogwarts was already littered with secret passageways and a room of requirement thus enabling students and, in my case, soon to be students easily hidden. I had not always understood how or why but I knew enough to say the least. One thing that I had been certain of was that a few years before my arrival at Hogwarts a student by the name of Pippa Macmillan (a Gryffindor) had gone missing. There are claims that Pippa was attacked by a Werewolf but in actual fact we know this to be simple speculation as all that happened was that she was attacked by a tree. There were also rumours floating around everywhere that Jacob had been expelled because he had been working with my father. That I can tell you for certain is not at all true. But you can see how I became interested in such a subject.
There are however 5 different vaults in the dungeons of Hogwarts and these at least I am able to name with at least some sort of reasonable evidence.
1- The Vault of Ice: Why everyone gives it this name is fairly obvious really. It’s cold and there’s a lot of ice. An interesting fact though, the cursed ice houses dark magic that if touched is said to turn people to stone (not true). It is true though that the vaults house treasures hidden by the founders.
2- The Vault of Fear: This is purely a scary dungeon. At one point I thought it was a story that my uncle was making up to scare me or a trick by Fred and George but I could see that it was far more than that.
3- The Forest Vault: To be honest this has to be my favourite room. The way people used to describe it was incredible and as a part Woodland Elf surely Dumbledore could see the appeal. Found under the Forbidden Forest.
4- The Buried Vault: is buried under Hogsmeade Village. It is actually an impressive vault for those that have been to it. I don’t recommend visiting it though.
5- The fifth and final vault is the Sunken Vault. This is the vault that I recommend the least although I have a fear of going underwater so I suppose that is only to be expected. I therefore do not know if the fear comes from having been underwater and not wanting to go back or what.
