Resolutions
Chapter 1
We all have them; we all think about them and we all think about them as if they were some kind of tradeable asset that one day, we may be able to exchange with someone else in order to pay for something else.
What are they? They are our New Year’s Resolutions. Some of us want to get thinner, some want to earn more money. Some people choose to learn something new others to resolve an issue that they had with an-other person. Whatever yours may be, I am sure that you have good reason for it.
Today I would like to tell you about some of the Resolutions that are currently in my family.
1) ME: Perhaps the most obvious but my own New Year’s Resolution is to become a better version of myself. I’ve tried over the years to do many things, but I want to better myself and if I can do that and be a stronger, wiser person for it then I think that path should be taken.
2) CHARLIE: I thought that, like George it would come out as something like “eat more cake” per-haps something predictable like “save all dragons” but I actually did my research on this one and he had one strong resolution: To Strengthen Family. I thought this was amazing, slightly surprising and brought tears to my eyes.
3) SEVIE: This one I wasn’t surprised at. She wants to excel at quidditch enough to get on the team next year – hopefully as a chaser but any position would be amazing apparently. She also wants to stop being bullied by the other kids and to become more focused on Care of Magical creatures.
4) BERTIE: Wants to start learning from Sevie’s books during the summer, although I’m not sure how far that will get him, and for home-schooling to be taken to the “next-level” apparently, we are far too slow and his education must be prioritised. Is it me or is he already sounding like a Ravenclaw?
5) DELPHI: Her resolution, if you can call it that is to get out of Azkaban. I hate her being in there too but I am scared about the consequences when she does get out.
