The sun shines brightly
A breeze blows gently
As if nothing has happened
As if nothing has changed
The cotton clouds drift by
And I stand below them
Angry
Wanting that storm to come,
That storm that rages in my mind
A friendship is gone
And it’s never coming back
Gone like a lightning flash
Unless
Unless this loss
Of a friend
Is like a ray of sun
Blocked by a cloud
That sunlight will return
As soon as the cloud has passed
Maybe this friendship isn’t gone forever
