Assana:
There standing where the black wolf was earlier was a man. He had dark skin and pitch black hair with tips of red. I gasped. He wore A torn grey shirt and some black sweatpants. He had old and worn sneakers on and was about 20. He was well built and looked fiercely around. He finally saw me and I held my breath. He walked towards me and I stepped back. He looked confused at first and kept looking around. I couldn't speak. My heart raced so fast it would win first place in a race. I tried to say something but my mouth just opened and closed. I didn't think anybody would have followed me in here. I guess I was going to die a lot sooner than I thought.
"...who...who are.. you?" I shaked.
My voice was unsteady and it was somewhat high-pitched.
"i...i...i'm Orpheus" he said uncertainly like he barely even knew.
I never have seen him in town but he looked familiar. He still could be here to bring me back so the town could see me burn. I gulped at the thought of the fire surrounding me. Engulfed in smoke and flames as they just laugh and smile at me suffering.
"are.. are you from Forest's Edge?" I asked as I thought I already knew the answer.
"yes" he said now more certain and I stiffened.
"are you here to...bring me back" I asked fearful of his answer.
He looked at me puzzled.
"no..why would I bring you back..." he said now so confused.
"because i ran from them. i'm supposed to get burned for my actions" I said now confused at why he was confused.
He looked at me up and down again. I was frightened and tried to not show that I was but it was impossible.
"what did you do?" he asked and now I felt as though he wasn't here to bring me back and he was just as confused as I was about each other.
"i...it's a big misunderstanding" I said not wanting him to turn on me when he knows nothing about it.
I stepped back again and sat on the log and sighed. I heard him step closer to me too.
"um..who are you?" he said.
I looked up at him and remembered I hadn't told him who I was even though he told me who he was.
"Assana" I said looking up at the trees above.
He looked a bit more calm and sat next to me. It was silent for a bit as I listened to the wind rustling the trees and heard the birds sing a beautiful song. I closed my eyes and just listened to nature's song.
"Why did you come in here?" I asked him now curious since he was from the town but didn't know about me.
"...I...I don't remember" he said sadly as he tried to remember.
I looked at him and saw his ankles had rough scars. It looked like he was cut by a barbed wire or huge thorns.
Orpheus:
I felt pain and then it all was over in a second. All I could see was pitch black and I couldn't feel anything anymore. I thought at first that I was dead. After a little while I heard a soft voice saying it was ok and she was here to help me. I didn't see the girl who was saying it but for some reason I believed her. I trusted her. Then she didn't say anymore. I was alone again but only for a bit. I don't know what happened but out of nowhere I was in a forest. I kept looking around confused at why and how I was here.
I saw a girl standing frightened by me and I didn't know why. She was kinda tall and had pale skin. She had long and light brown hair that somewhat looked red. She had a long black dress that looked like someone died. Maybe someone did. She had sneakers on and her eyes were wide with fear.
She opened her mouth but closed it not saying anything.
"...who...who are.. you?" she said as her voice shook unsteadily.
I..I don't remember. I heard someone calling a name as I thought hard but it felt wrong.
""i...i...i'm Orpheus" I said the name that I kept hearing in my head.
It felt wrong. It felt weird for me. It felt like someone else's name that did not belong to me.
She kept looking at me. She was scared and I could feel it. It flew with the wind all around.
"are.. are you from Forest's Edge?" she asked her eyes still wide with fear.
That felt familiar but still a little new to me. It's like all this was a different life. I closed my eyes for a second and I could see a sign with huge letters on it. "Forest's Edge" it read in yellow.
"yes" I said now more certain and she stiffened.
"are you here to...bring me back" she asked and I was puzzled.
I just barely got here and I didn't even remember much about my name.
"no..why would I bring you back..." I said as my head started to hurt.
"because i ran from them. i'm supposed to get burned for my actions" she said trembling a bit.
I looked at her again. She was so frightened and I thought maybe she had been a criminal to get burned for her actions.
"what did you do?" I asked and now afraid that I was going to get caught up in her criminal life.
"i...it's a big misunderstanding" she said and stepped sat on the log and sighed.
I stepped closer to her and knew that she was no criminal. She looked too sweet to be one. I believed her.
"um..who are you?" I asked as I realized I didn't even know her name.
"Assana" she said looking up at the trees above.
I calmed down a bit and on the log next to her. She looked relaxed as well as she felt the wind play with her hair. She closed her eyes and I smiled for a second.
"Why did you come in here?" she asked as she looked at me now.
I tried to remember but I couldn't.
"...I...I don't remember" I sadly said.
I felt like I was here for a reason but I don't know why. My mind was blank.
