Chapter 3
The Ministry of Magic (Part 4 -Women in the Ministry)

From the time that the Ministry was first founded in 1707, there has been some amazing women who have worked in the Ministry. One of these women is Artemisia Lufkin, she was the first woman who was elected Minister in 1798, she was elected Minister after 91 years of a man being in the place as the Minister. While in office, she established the Department of International Magical Cooperation and she also pushed for a Quidditch World Cup that was held in Great Britain. She held office for thirteen years before giving up the office to Grogan Stump in 1811.

One of the other women that worked in the Ministry was Dolores Umbridge. Umbridge joined the Ministry right after she graduated as an intern in the Improper Use of Magic Office. She was promoted to Head of Office before the age of 30. She soon become Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic. Though most do not like Umbridge, she is still a part of the women in the Ministry.
