Salazar was brought up in an aristocratic, gloomy and dark castle. Living in the Medieval times, Witches and Wizards were hunted and burnt at the stake. The only way his mother and father were not caught, is that his Salazar's father was Lord Slytherin. He managed to conceal his family and when they were betrayed by one of their servants they had to flee. Lord Slytherin taught Salazar everything he knew in the dark magical arts. This was not enough for the genius and he wanted more.
